Fill the grid so every row, every column and each 2×2 box contains the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 exactly once. With only sixteen cells, you can usually finish with nothing but naked singles, cells where just one number fits. That makes it the clearest way to learn the one rule all Sudoku shares.
